On my 99 SVT I noticed that the rear sway bar bushing that is in the lower control arm is worn..So I got the parts and thought this would be a 30 minute job. Okay, links came off in about 10 minutes, and then the bushings in the arm, one was warn out other I simply cut off.
Problem..The ruber bushing mounts half way in this arm...half of the bushing aboove..half below. So I would have to install the bushing half way, as the stabilzer bushing has a ridge that it would fit into.
I cannot get the rubber bushing in that hole...any hints....it has got me..
And yes, they are ford parts(only replacing to stock).
geeeze and to think the DMD took me about 1 hour...and this stabilizer bushing has me stumped.

When I went to the other side the bushing went right in..Upon further inspection the other hole had a large burr(reason the old bushing deteriorated). Cleaned the burr and all is fine.
But the thumb is still there in the rear after brake line tie wraps...new end links/bushings and rear center bushings...The obvious did not cure the rear end thumbing..
