My 95 SE 2.5 v6 temp gauge has recently been pegging hot. The first time I stopped the car and let it sit till the engine was cool but it remained pegged. The next day I started it up and the gauge, which had returned to normal, instantly pegged again. Turned the engine off and waited a hour and just turned the ignition on without starting the car. It again pegged but dropped back when the ignition was turned off. Could it be the sending unit (where should I look) or maybe a short in the wires. In any case the car seems to run normal.
Thanks,
Bob

Welcome onboard.

Yes, rearward of wp, points to driver's side. Pull connector and then check gauge reading (key on).
