I'd appreciate any help here. Just add what you think is a common question. I'll start with the easiest .

Our bolt pattern is 4 x 108.

Stock offset (49.5mm, IIRC)

Acceptable offsets for aftermarket wheels...(38-43?)

Recommended tire specs for various rim diameters...

Stock wheel weights (approx.)

Early SE 7-spoke: 19 lbs
E0 SVT (Cosworth): 20.5
E1 SVT (Cobra): 19.5

Lol. I was just putting out a question for the FAQ.

I think the newest Cougars had the same pattern as well.

Correction/addition:

Stock offset for the early 7-spokes is 47.5mm (as stamped on the back.)

How about:

- Will 225/50 fit stock rims without rubbing (YES!)
- Does 225/50 throw off the speedo noticeably (NO!)
- What are popular upgrade sizes for stock rims because 215/50 is so hard to find (205/55, 225/50, 225/45)
- What are some of the popular replacement tires at each price point?
- If I replace my KDWs with all-season tires, will I notice the difference? (YES!)

Use the SEARCH

With stock suspension:
17s will fit with no rubbing
18s will fit with possiblity of rubbing
19s will fit with possiblity of rubbing

With aftermarket drop:
17s should fit with no rubbing
18s will fit with better chance of rubbing
19s will fit with better chance of rubbing

AFAIK, no one on CEG has 20s or larger.

~ Toque your wheels to ~90 ft/lbs with a torque wrench.
(I do all wheels once in the air, and repeat with all on the ground)

~ Treat your wheels as you would treat your paint.
~ Try to avoid wheel cleaners with harsh abrasives.
~ Wax your wheels.
~ If a wheel is not available in our offset, try contacting the manufacturer to get blanks and have them custom drilled.

Benefits (if any) of running 7.5" vs. 7" on 17's, 18's so on and different offsets the different width wheels that should be run.

Thought that might want to be addressed as well...
