The Stock SVT clutch setup is a good package. Also for under $300 it is a great deal.

The only weakness I noted is that once I got into the 230-240HP/190TQ (crank) range I could make the clutch slip on launching far too often.

Yes...actaully less than $270 from Bill Jenkins for:

(Clutch)F7RZ-7550-VA List $120.72 CEG 90.89 Core $7
(Plate)F7RZ-7563-VA List $120.76 CEG $90.92 Core $15.00
(Slave cyl) F5RZ-7A508-A List $93.32 CEG $69.99

That's from an email from Bill.

Its a no-brainer...if you ain't pushing over 240hp...you don't need the extra clutchage...

I think the question here is if in the future you want to add FI do you want to go through all that labor again? Do you know for sure you don't want to add serious power in the future?

If you know for sure then get the stock svt, if your not sure get an aftermarket one.

hence why I went Spec III, Quaife, and Fidanza, if you've ever considered FI, and there's a remote possibility of you keeping your car for another 5 years or more, I'd beef it up as much as possible for the possibility of . . .but that's my theory on doing it, do it ONCE, and do it RIGHT, labor will screw you otherwise. . .
