I'm going to replace my plug wires next week.

Should I bother with 9mm Ford Racing Wires?
AND if i do go 9mm, were can i get 9mm wire holders to replace the stock ones?

some like them, some don't....i like mine have had them on for awhile with no problems, and they even cured my stuttering problem i was having(one of the stockers must've been bad)...but a few people have had recent problems with 'em

you can get both the wires and holders from bill at chicago connection....search and you can find his #....

When I replaced mine, I was going to go with the ford motorsport but went with magnecore instead. Apparently you get what you pay for, and the ford motorsports go bad a lot quicker. I have never had them though so I can't really say. All I know is that my magnecore's are good and have a lifetime warranty!

I've had mine on for more than a year, and I'm happy with them.

Call Bill at Chicago Connection, 773-229-0655, he'll take care of you. choice of color for wires is red blue or yellow, holders, red blue or black. Bill's got the best prices around.

if you're changing your plug wires for a legitimate reason (old stock wires, cheapo wires, etc.) than go with the FMS 9mm wires. only thing on my zetec is they're rubbing through each other and I'm just waiting for my engine to start missing and I'll be buying new wires.

Depends what you mean by "worth it" - if you're looking for a performance gain, don't bother. However, they're not much more than the stockers, which is why I bought them.

A few people have posted that they don't last very long, though, which surprised me - they seem pretty well-made, but I've only had mine on for 2 months.

FMS wires are made by MSD.

I've been very happy with mine. The quality seems top noch. Im sure they would last longer then the stock wires.

I just ordered the Magnecor 8.5mm wires yesterday. I've got ford racing wires on there now and I along with a few of my friends have found them to go bad rather quickly.(I've had mine for about a year and half)It seems like there'sa lot of posts on here with similar complaints. I think a lot of people balk at the magencor wires because of the price ($120/set for svt) but they last pretty much forever so its a matter of pay now or pay later.
