Got bored this afternoon, decided to take off my exhaust. I just wanted to hear what it would sound like. Drove it around for a while... thought it sounded pretty neat. Would sound cooler with a slightly smoother tone and maybe a higher pitch.

A higher pitch! Are you kidding...

The exhaust sounds very raspy (high pitch shrill) with no mufflers or resonators.

Just with the resonator removed on mine sounds like that....what local CEGers call the "beez".

Bro...if you want a higher pitch, which I did (wanted more of a ralley sound...not V-8 Mustang) try this:

Edelbrock 5500 for a resonator (that's a 2.5 center in/out, which a good exhaust shop can fit in your 2.25 stock sytem)
Flowmaster 40s in the rear (being in the rear at the very end, the chamber design won't hinder exhaust flow)

It'll be smooth...quiet in the cabin...but sound real nice.
