is this the strut bar that goes up and over the rear seat opening or the one that goes striaght across?

why doesn't anyone do something like this:
so that the opening into the trunk isn't compromised. maybe even make the mounting points for the strut bar higher up on the tower?
just a thought...

Would probably cost more to make and does not seem like it would be as rigid. Nice photshop...
