Here are some of the part numbers for aftermarket and/or Ford OEM 3L parts. If anyone has any corrections or things to add to this post, please do so. Please keep other comments and/or questions in other threads please so that this post is just as informational as it can be. If you have part numbers, please post them here, then PM me and I'll add them to the list in the first post (this one) so we can keep scanning for part numbers to a minimum. 3L related parts only.

- F5RZ-6345-D need 8

- Connecting rod bolts: F3LY-6214-A need 12
- Piston rings: YF1Z6148BA 30.03 (does 2 pistons)
- VALVE-EXHAUST: F6DZ6505A
- VALVE-INTAKE: F6DZ6507A
- ST220 VALVE-SPRING: 2S7Z-6513-AA
- Motor mount/Powersteering bracket parts (needed for mid '98 and previous years to fit to the 3L block):

are these allthe parts neccessary to upgrade to a 3.0L?
just out of curiousity,
what are the horsepower/torque/acceleration etc. advantages to a 3.0L vs the 2.5?
also
what if i wanted to put a V8 in my contour.. are there any smallblocks that would fit?
