Yes, i searched first.....

Has anyone tried fitting a Cougar intake system on their SVT or 2.5L Contour???? I'm assuming that a Cougar system will fit, but aren't sure. I ask because a company (I think it's Iceman systems) makes a intake system for the 2000-1 Cougar.

The Cougar system fits the UK MK2 Mondeo V6, I have one the later Cougar 2000 and on has 35/34 LIM ports also, and it seems the butterflys are designed to give breathe through on all ports at lower revs, so I suppose a much smoother transistion from 12 to 24 valves..

Does anyone know why the cougar butterflys have a "T" stamped into the surface of them, or does this denote TOP???

Sorry old chap, Me thinks the positive, yes certainly perchance you come to aquire a Cougar UIM and LIM they will fit, but be aware there are very few 205bhp Cougars well at least in the United Kingdom.

I believe all Cougars have the larger LIM, but the UIM is not DH, I can tell you that the butterfly setup is slightly different in that there is a visible gap around the butterfly while it sits in the port, also the UK Cougars have a different Injector connection so I imported some new injectors from BAT.

Neil

Intake system? Or do you mean induction kit? If you were refering to the intake system (including the intake manifolds, throttle body, etc...), then I don't understand why you would want to downgrade to choke the engine. If you were refering to induction kit (just an air filter, and maybe intake pipe), then yes they're the same thing except there are a little difference in clearance on how long of a filter you can fit I think.
