OP Zyiola_dup1 New CEG\'er Z Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 15 Tulsa, Oklahoma	My Light just came on for the first tme since I have had the car. The oil, water, and all that other jazz is good. I just hit 70K miles, Is was wandering if it comes on around then to let you know if it needs serviced. Has anyone else had this happen? No, the check engine light (CEL) is not a service light. It means that something is wrong. A code will be stored in the cars computer. It can be anything from practically nothing (e.g., your gas cap is loose) to something more serious. Recommend that you get the code read. FYI, Ford will charge you to read the code, so I would try to get it read somewhere else first. My local stealership charges ~$45 to diagnose a problem. Beer is my Gatorade. Hooray Beer.
