im thinking of putting a ps2 in my tour, i was wondering how i turn 12vdc into 110ac? im sure there is some sort of transformer or something. anyway thanks,

A power inverter is what you're looking for. Make sure you get one that has enough capacity to power all the little toys you want in your car  Linky to an example of what you're most likely going to need.

Do not put a PS2 in your car. If you are doing it for PS2 games its all good. But if you are doing it for DVD purposes do not do it. PS2's do not like to go mobile for some reason, but the results that you will get are basically annoying as hell. You will see the picture and mouth's move and then about 2 seconds later you will hear the sound that goes with there mouth's or actions. Audio and Video are delayed another words. Get what I am saying?

Well then, thats not good. i was hoping to do it for the best of both worlds. games and dvd. maybe ill just put my ps1 in it for games then. how much should i expect to pay for a little screen? thanks

Just do what I did, I bought a Boss DVD/MP3/CD/CD-R/CD-RW palyer for the car it costed $400 Canadian with tax.

my friend has a ps2 in his car, hasnt had any problems like that. where are you getting that information? i'd like a ps2 in my car too, so this comes as kind of a shock.
now officially a troll, i guess. used to have a black 96 SE, until it broke down one too many times.
now I'm hunting for a motorycle.

yes i've researched this myself, I called around a few local shops, and they agree with that. The dvd part just does not work well while moving! maybe ps3 will be better. they announced the other day ps3 is comin out 2004

I put my dreamcast in my car and I have a blaupunkt dvd player custom mounted in my center console.IMHO, Adding video to a car is like making a whole new car.

No pics of the dreamcast tin the car or my power inverter.
