I got my resonaotr removed for $25.00 today. They replaced it with a straight pipe. It sounds sweet as hell. I notice a little difference in power also. That really made my day.

Mine only rasped for maybe a minute or two. Not bad at all.

Don't you love it...if you want a little sound and don't have a bunch of money, it's a fun thing to do.

That's what your stereo is for Seriously, though, I can't hear any drone even at "low" volume unless I'm doing 75 on the freeway. I should also say that eventually I will be redoing the exhaust with something more throaty and less raspy.

If you have an SVT, it's alot worse.. And history has shown that 95% of the people that "loved it" at first end up putting something back in place of it down the line. Mine was so bad I started getting migrane headaches after a few months.

could be different with Duratecs but on my Zetec the only thing I noticed was that it was louder than before it was removed...no drone, rasp, etc.
course it doesn't really get cold in AZ

I still have the stock res on my LS with a Flowmaster 40 series. I have had the muffler on for about 3 months now and I can tell that there is a nice drone under there while crusing at 2000 RPM. Right now, since the stock is on there, it is very tame but deep. Seems to get deeper by the week and the more I open it up. I am glad I left the stock res on until I could get a high flow res from like dynomax or magnaflow.
