I have a 98 V6 and am looking at some SVT cams with 45K on them. is it possible or logical to put these on my non-svt? Is there anything else I would need to up grade on my car to make this work? Is it a hard install?

IIRC the cams will add around 10 or so hp in stock form, chips will help out the gains more, as would ported heads. Svt gains come from the computer takign advantage of the cams but they should help quite a bit. Its not the easiest job in the world but many will advise you to do ported heads at the same time if youre gonna. hope i helped, Derek Johnson btw are those the ones on ebay?? I think I just saw em there.

I don't know of anyone that has timed the cams with the engine in the car.
While technically it is probably possible with all the right tools I don't think it is very feasible at all.
The cams themselves are a great upgrade. However being you have a slushbox it's definitely not where I would begin. You will never see their true benefits like a manual car would!

Yeah, I was gonna bid on those. There wasn't a single bid until the last day. I thought I found something someone missed.

OK then what do you suggest I start with? I cannot afford to buy another tour, nor can i afford the supercharger. Everyone on here says that swapping trannies is a real Bi@ch! How do I get more power?

SVT throttle body and possibly the SVT upper intake manifold followed by the SVT exhaust. You will be plesently surprised at how much the throttle body and exhaust will wake up your engine. Actually as I think about it, I would start with the exhaust. Look for a used SVT cat back in the classifieds. Then go for intake improvements as finances permit.

Several places. Bill Jenkins, BAT, SP Motorsports are the ones that come to mind.
