stazi: every speed shop in town says the venom electronics are sh!t and i'm inclined to agree after what i've been reading.. i know trapps and outlawd have had good experience with em but on the whole it seems like they get a thumbs down... NX supposedly has a returnless kit and i'm leaning that way

Where is the negative literature? Just curious. Your right, I had very good experiences with the 2000. Only SloMo has had a problem that I know of. His system just won't fire correctly, but he also hasn't blown up his motror......

i'm not hearing it on the interweb i'm hearing it from the local shops, my guy isnt too big on venom, he says hes just heard a lot of negative things about their systems, although hes not 'opposed' the other shop i go to frequently is adimantly opposed to them... he installed one last year that the electronics burnt up on.
*shrug* i wont sit here and claim to know what i'm talking about because i know borderline jack squat about nitrous but i listen to these guys and they havent steered me in the wrong direction yet.

All brands have their own problems. I've heard plenty of stories of NX solenoids getting stuck open, Venom/Zex controllers not working properly, and Edelbrock just plain sucking. I don't see how Zex is worse than any other brand. If anything, it has less parts than most kits (less things to malfunction) and has less electronics than many kits (again less to malfunction). I've had my dry kit for bout 9 months now (20 or so bottles) and I've never had a problem. With any kit, and nitrous in general, its about taking the necessary precausions & following recommendations of the manufacturer.
