How in the name of Christ all-mighty, did you guys get the radiator back in the car, with out issues? I am still having issues with the blade tapping/rubbing a brass fitting on the S/C. There is no functional problem, but it makes some irritating noises. I will get in there with a dremel this weekend. Until then

The kit comes with spacer blocks to relocate it forward to clear everything. Did you use those? Its still a tight fit.

We fabbed the relocation brackets as my kit did not come with them (used). The ones we made work on the same principle though.

My rad clearence is fine with the spacers from the kit, however does the plastic hat rub on the AC canister? I need to move mine forward but I can't move the thing! Brad and Rick tried for an hour as well and couldn't move it. did you have to relocate that? Maybe the contours are exempt from that I can't remember.

They cut out most of the fan shroud. The install went very well and fast, until the rediator was to be re-installed. They then cussed me up and down! My kit was missing the Radiator Recycle hose and I had to have that Fed Exed from Vortech. It rubs the passenger side fan pretty well. Then the radiator settled in a few days later and it rubbed even worse. It is getting better with each spin of the blade. To coin one of Terry's favorite phrases "It is only nuts and bolts". I never though that I would say that.

Man, when I had my vortech put in the installers broke the radiator so bad they had to buy a new one to replace it. By the way is there a difffernce between a SVTs radiator and a normal contours? I only ask because it seems to run hotter now.

The radiator is different IIRC. It is a heavier duty unit.

My AC canister is not really in the way. The vortech rubs it, but only the foam stuff around the outside. The hat doesn't even touch it. It must be mounted slightly different in the cougar. The fan shroud fit, but the vortech still touches it. Just a tight fit all around

Mine does a similar thing but just barely. In my case it's the return line that touches the fan shroud. The stinking elbow for the return line needs to be turned about another 5 to 10 degrees clockwise towards the motor, then I won't have any touching issues. Of course I didn't see this until the whole project was practically complete. At that point, I tried to turn the elbow but there was no F...in way I was going to even get a tool up there, and I sure as heck wasn't going to pull the SC just to do that. I put some protective sheathing around the drain line to protect it from rubbing the fan.
