A friend of mine who drove and develoved the One Lap of America Contours in 98 and 99 said Ford sent him Jaguar front rotors and calipers. He said it was a direct bolt up and the pattern was still the same. I was wondering if anyone else had ever heard of this swap. He said the breaking performance is greatly improved. If anyone has heard of this mod or has it, please let me know.

How would Jaguar parts cause soooo much damage to a Contour? Could someone please explain this to me????

This really sounds unlikely. The X type Jag was not built until much later. The X type is also Mondeo based vehicle, so I would expect that the X type brakes may be usable, but they are 5 lug, not 4 lug like our cars. I think someone was pulling your chain.
