I'd say it's an internal problem!
There is no "reverse" cable per se.
The two 2 piece cables are forward & back and side to side respectively.
Yes it's possible to break 1 part of the 2 piece cable. However if you did break the "back" section of that cable you could not pull it out of gears 1,3,5 or move it to gear 2,4,R from neutral. It's not "reverse" specific, just "back" in general.

It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

see that is where everything is real shady... they first tell me they checked the trans and it goes into the gears alright.. then they install a new clutch and all of a sudden it mysteriously doesn't go into reverse.. why the hell are they trying to get me to pay 150 dollars if there is no actual reverse cable?

I would take it back. Tel them that it had no problems going into reverse before you got your clutch replaced and all of a sudden it won't go into reverse. My Mom used to own a 96 Plymouth Voyager and they're known for tranny problems. 3 years ago, she got her transmission fluid changed and it shifted fine before she took it to the shop(dealer). After she got it back the first time, It wouldn't shift into the gears properly (slipping) and she took it back again. After she got it back the second time, it wouldn't shift at all when it's cold. She took it back again and they ended up rebuilding the whole tranny free of charge. She had to drive my car(beretta) while she had her van in the shop. My Dad finaly got rid of it after 5 years of having it in 2001 and traded it in for a 99 Lincoln Continental. It had 92,000 miles on it when he got rid of it. Seriously I would take it back. If it were me, I would [censored] them out. They were liable for the repairs. They could've screwed up your reverse gear or something in the process.
