We've got good news, and bad news.
The good news is that we have 8 hoods that have arrived and are now in the warehouse in Hayward. (I believe it's 8
)
The bad news is, they all have a minor fitment issue that we noticed when putting the hood on Speed Demons car, that we have been trying to verify with the manufacturer for the past week and a half.
This is the detail of the fitment issue.
The passenger side hood mount has the bolt holes off center. One of them is correct, the other is not. There is a simple fix for this that requires all of a marker and a drill with a large drill bit. To fix, you need to mark off on the hood HINGE (not the hood itself) where the misplaced hole is, and drill through the hinge in an oval shape (to allow you to have room to move the bolt for play) where the mark was made.
So everyone waiting for hoods has two choices. They can take the hoods as is with the fitment issue (the next 12 hoods will be corrected) and accept in exchange $100 discount on shipping (If you are sending to your home you pay a whopping $35 bucks) or you can wait for the corrected hood and pay the discounted $75 shipping rate.
I know it's the holidays, so I'll give everyone until next friday to decide on what they are going to do. Once that date arrives, I will begin shipping out hoods in accordance to what has already happened. If you have already paid shipping and want the incorrect hood, then I will refund you the difference upon shipment. If you have not paid then you will accept this hood as is.
