If they have to send the hood back for production add another three weeks to that.

You are correct. A slight shortage in workers and a heavy workload has reduced their ability to perform the order as quickly as we wanted it to happen, but they -are- being made and they -will- be done. I didn't drive to FordPartsOnline in Atascadero to pick up a Contour hood in a rented pickup truck (torque-braking in a rented pickup is fun. ) for nothing.

Cool! Just wanted to check. I never doubted getting one, I was just curious as to when because the original guess-timate said we'd be getting them very soon to now. But august can be done.

Never doubted that they were not going to be made, I just know the time frame these things take. Someone needs to make faster cargo freighters.....lol

One thing I have been wondering is about the clearance once the hood is closed. Are we going to gain, loose or keep the same amount of clearance? I would kill for more clearance!!!! Just think.....a direct port NOSzle setup could be used if we can get more clearance for the bigger U/LIM gaskets needed to do so

Hmmm, first I've heard. Last I did hear they would've made the UIM sit too high because of a thicker gasket to clear the higher sitting injectors for the hood to shut. Who has the direct port?

Ah ha, that's why. The NOSzle setup plug into the LIM and the fuel injectors plug into them. You could be super sneaky and run a 100 shot completely out of view.

Hopefully the hood will have a bit more room to allow this........

OK guys

I am new and need help with this.
We have a 99 black svt and my wife hit a deer this past weekend.

I work in insurance so I have some push with the body shop as our office works with them all the time.

I want to get a custom hood instead of a stocker if at all possible.

A) what is the final price of these carbon fibers? Is the buy still open?

B) are there any other hoods that are available sooner?

Thanks
