Muahahahahahaha.......

I wasn't sure if I'd be able to swing this CF hood, but some how the money gods are looking down on me or something!

If I had that dancing bananna GIF I'd bust it out now!

Okay, well, minor setback in that the dealership wouldn't let svttour2002's car part with its hood while it's in the shop. The good news is that Wayson isn't sending their container overseas until NEXT tuesday, so we'll be okay since we can get the hood by then.

Is there a possibility we can get these hoods clearcoated? It'd be that much easier if I can just bolt it on my car and be done with it. Even if it costs extra $$$.

Also...what's going to be the deal with rain? I don't have a garage...will I have to cover the inlet or what? It's going to be over the plastic engine cover right? Shouldn't be a big deal then I guess.

Inlets? i'm lost what do you mean? the Scoops? If that's what you mean, the rain shouldn't hurt it~ you'll just have to get your engine Steam Cleaned more often! Correct me if i'm wrong...ANYONE~

the VENTS are located over the plastic cover of our engine, directly above the headers, so you shouldn't have to worry about anything precious getting wet in the rain. . .that's, of course, what I gather from the info given. . .

Yes, the hoods can be clearcoated and are in fact RECOMMENDED to be clearcoated to prevent any possible damage to the hood itself from Acid rain. They already come treated for UV, so that's not an issue. Prep for clearcoating is just like any other painted surface; wetsanding for surface prep and clearcoat application.
