I have just replaced the brake fluid and changed the rear
brake pads of my Mystique 2.5Litre, and now the car refuses
to start!

The fuel pump makes suitable whines, so that is working, and I sprayed switch cleaner in obvious contacts where I may have spilt a little brake fluid. The engine cranks O.K. Maybe changing the brakes was
purely coincidence, but does anyone have any thoughts.

It is a manual, 78000 miles, and 3.5 years old - original battery etc..

Thanks,
David Richards

pull out #1 spark plug and reconnect the sparkplug wire and try to crank the engine..if you cant see spark on the plug, then its possibly a bad coil pack....you can by a new accel one for about 65.00 bucks..

try resetting your computer, or just unplug the batter for a 1/2 hour... it worked for me!
