Sorry to hear about that! I know how you fill because my ATX is in the shop now.

Sorry I don't much about the MTX75, but there are plenty around here that do. Hopefully some of them will chime right on in.

Welcome to the dead tranny club!!!

I lost my ATX a couple months ago. One of the suggestions I've heard that I'm planning myself is to use synthetic fluid. It will stand up to heat and wear better than regular fluid.

Also, since you're getting a new tranny, you might want to consider getting a Quaife differential installed. The stock diff is kind of weak, from what I've heard from others.

Well, it sounds like something came loose and went through your differential or something. I have heard of the bolt breaking off the shift tower and falling down into the tranny causing something similar to what you describe. This is why a lot of people choose to upgrade to the 2002 Focus style shift tower. It could also just be broken spider gears in the differential, but in any case you're going to need a new trans. Sounds like it's time for you to call Terry Haines. PM me if you need more info.

Same thing happened to me last week- read my mail in general section- SUDDENDEATH TRANSMISSION.

Have done a lot of research since and found out that:
TRANSMISSION PISTON BLEW
This probably leads to some metal getting into the tranny.

are you covered by any extended waranty???

hope you can find a solution.
Have heard of other similiar problems.
Dont get discouraged.
