I really want to race my car out on a track, but is it going to cost to much to make it worth it?

It depends.

What kind of racing?

What are you starting with?

Track days don't take that much prep, and they are all about driving what you have to the max. Door-to-Door stuff is more involved and will take some prep no matter what you're driving.

well, I was thinking of going to Laguna Seca or go to Sears point in California. I think at first I would just do the wheel to wheel classes until I was good enough.
I am getting a new Tranny so hopefully it can take the abuse.
