O-k...I'm looking thru the Summit Racing catolog...and see that they have Wildwood Brake calipers...about $100 per. So $200 and you have aluminum lightweight calipers. But you need custom fabbed caliper brackets. I have access to a fabricating metal shop that builds all the machinery in my plant. I don't see what would be so hard to make some brackets to match the bolt spacing on the new calipers and the SVT knuckle. Or to take it one step further...get the FSVT rotors (I have 17" rims) fab the caliper brackets...and for around $350...big time braking gains.

Any feedback? Constructive criticism?

Yup, that's a start. Let us know how it turns out and how long it takes to get it 'right'. Then agian you could be out driving a complete kit in a few hours.....

Todd...I'm not trying to steal your thunder here. But I'm a single dad of 3...I just can't afford to drop big $$$ on mods. I'm sitting here...looking at this monster machine shop...thinking...I can do this!

Don't forget pads and SS Brakes lines and you are up to the cost of a BAT Willwood kit.

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

You don't know how much real brakes are do you? You really have have no idea. I'm not trying to rip on you imprtKLLR but, you obviously have not looked into this subject.

Here are some price for other kits

Stoptech 1500+
Brembo 2300+
Alcon 2300+
Baer 700+
AEM 1500+

Even the Baer kit is over $700 and that's a nothing more than the two piston mustang kit.

As for making you own kit.. cool.. I can't wait to see them and I hope the turn out.

Looks like I'm still the 'Best Buy' of the bunch. And still people don't have a clue what it takes and the cost to do so. Time is money.
