Anyone running a S/C on a '95 or '96? Just wondering if it'll work, that's all.
Actually, for that matter, what about the Street Flight turbo? Will that work w/ the OBD I cars, too?

1. Not to date & 96 is OBD-II

2. It's all in the tuning. I do not see why they could not tune an OBD-I Car. Keyser may have more info though...

Even the vacuum controlled secondaries are not a problem since their normal position is open. Therefore as soon as boost is achieved (I.E. no vacuum) they would automatically open.

Now other parts may need upgrading (injectors/fuel pump/etc) but with the proper tuning either setup is possible on an OBD-I vehicle.

We have an OBD-I on the list. I'll let you know.

Demon - I was thinking OBD-II started in '97. But, now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure I was wrong.
I was thinking the same thing, though - I don't see why an OBD-I couldn't work. Would an OBD-II respond to power adders than an OBD-I?
Keyser - keep us updated.
Reason for asking:
I was at edmunds.com and I looked up how much a '96 SE costs, and they're only 3K or so. That'd be a sweet project car. Too bad the turbo and the S/C cost more than the car they'd go on! LOL!

i thought pressurizing an OBD-1 system would be easier because the computer has less monitoring/control over the engine. just a thought.

That is what I (my brother and I) are finally getting started on. Took a lot longer then expected, but that is because KnuKonceptz.com's new warehouse took about 5 months longer to build than planned (bad weather and unreliable contractors) Now that we have room to move around we'll have time and space to plant a 3.0L with Vortech SC (and other goodies ) into 95 SE. I paid more for the SC and Motor then I did the car.

Federal law mandates that all cars model year 1996 or newer to be OBD-II compliance.
