What ever happen to the info on this set-up? I know where to get the MAIN parts...but I understood that there were some "custom" shims to be made? Where/who do I get them from? Thanks!!

Here's what I copied from the lengthy post about 3 weeks ago (Yes..you could actually search)

"Jeff is right you guys, all that's required to bolt up these brakes are some Home Depot special lock washers ($1.89). 1/2" Stainless, medium split lock washers. You need 4. They are in a brown bag (2per). I can get a pic if some people are really having problems finding them. Other than that, you don't need anything else. OE bolts work just fine, they are plenty long.

Overall, I like them. My original rotors were completely shot (jeff can attest to that ) and I decided to go with the focus setup because in the end it cost $360 from Bill Jenkins. A great upgrade for the price. We also swapped out my original fluid for ATE super blue race fluid. I think all I need now are some good pads all around...the stock SVT rears look REAL small now!!!!"

Thanks. But you dont have to snippy about it. Sometimes its easier for the person who made/has that part to just reply. Thanks again though.

Snippy! Why I oughta....

But consider also...the FSVT upgrade wil cost you as I recall around $375. The BAT Wilwood kit is $459, with SS brake lines to boot. So take that off, and the Wildwood kit compares $400 to the FSVT of $375 (Yes..with the FSVT you get rotors too...but the calipers are 10lbs heavier each, and no SS brake lines). So my suggestion to you is...consider what you're gonna do with the car. I would think that the Wildwood set up with lighter calipers and SS lines would stop as well if not better than the FSVT (4 piston calipers) and have less fade and more feel.

My $.02

10lbs heavier each? Who told you that??

So far I have had no problems. I think with soem better pads they would be all the upgrading over the stock setup I need. My rotors were destroyed, so I was pricing upgrades I could afford without going overboard. Made the right choice for me I think. It all depends what you plan on doing with the car though.

FWIW Chris Arslanyan had powertop rotors on his SVt before this and thinks these are better.

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

how about BAER fronts

and TCE rears

I would've gotten TCE fronts if they were available two years ago!

Dion, the pics of your car make it look orange! I like it! The car looks incredible...

The whole idea behind the FSVT swap was better performance for little to no extra cost. I don't road race, or streetrace for that matter...only some spirited driving, I might hit the track at the national meet, so for me, it was a good decision.
