Some guy in New York is willing to trade my se sport rims for a set of 98 E0 svt rims free of charge because he blew his engine and he's donating it. What do you guys think? I like the style of the 99-00 rims better. I don't the the 98 rims will look all that cool.

I'd do it. I really like the look of the E0 16 inch rims. And plus they're free.

The first two Tours in this pic have E0's and E1's to give you some ideas.

I would try to find some steel rims cheap and see if he would take those, that way you could have wheels for winter tires

I'd do it, if it was an even swap. I'm probably in the minority, but I actually prefer the 98 EO rims. Don't get me wrong, I'd take E0 or E1 in a swap. 'course I'd have to get new tires to fit the 16" rims

No offense, but I really don't like the look of the E0 rims. It won't make my car look pimped out. I like the E1 rims better, because they're more aggresive looking.

The reason why i'm deciding is because I like the E1 rims better becuase they're more aggresive looking. The E0 look kind of cheesy.

personal taste... i think the E0 rims fit the car better and look bigger than the E1 style.

I think the E0 wheels look far better than the E1 wheels. The E1 wheels look so cookie cutter, like something you can pick up at sears. The E0 wheels seem to go with the lines of the car, more rounded and Euro looking, like the car itself is.When I had mine on I had alot of compliments on them. The E0 wheels are also ONLY on the 98 SVTs,so they are alot less common.
Ive seen them go on E-Bay for $600.The one set of E1s I saw went with tires for $400.

Fair enough. Like I said, I think most people do prefer E1's. But if they were free I'd take either. OTOH, if (when) I'm buying new rims, I'd probably go for something 17". Just my opinion.
