ok so I was looking thru all of the archives last night to see if I could do a turbo for my 96 zetec. I think the one that was put on the cougar was a zetec and was wondering how much it would be, and what type of other modifications I would need(tranny,engine which has 100k miles on it)

1turbofocus sells turbo kits for the zetec. You can email him at HPDYNO@aol.com. This kit put down over 300 whp on stock internals.

Performance fords is coming out with 2 tubro kits for the ZETEC. The street kit I believe is going into production with the race kit being tested.Check their web site for up-to-date info.
I'm waiting on the street kit myself.

Why wait? You can get 1turbofocus' kit right now

They dont have a fuel or timing solution

It might still be a good entry level kit to learn on and build up slowly. I don't want to say your kit is overkill, but anything that makes Vette's go WTF can be pricy to some people. And a little more than they could handle, too! With power comes responsibility.

You aren't paying attention. His kit doesn't do 436. His entry level will obtain 300 if you use race gas and a lot of boost. I see mid 200's with pump gas but Tom will have to confirm that. His kit sounds perfect of entry level because there is no engine management to fool with. Just a plug and play chip. He may give Duratec's a hard time, but he's earned it.

LOL Hey, someone with that kind of accomplishment can give me a hard time any time - he's earned it!

I just personally enjoy dealing with PF and do try to give them business. I am looking for a zetec for a daily driver, actually... I don't enjoy putting 1k miles a week on my SVT.
