Hey - my car is running good again, so I'd love to get out on the track. What time are we talking for this Friday - and does anyone have a helmet they'd let me use for a couple of runs - I promise I don't have lice

i was thinkin about being there around 6:30 or 7pm, the races go all night, Not a bad idea, cruising in all together, , i'de like to know what time is good for everybody else though,

I get off work at 2pm, so it's just a matter of how much time to kill for me.

Hey Path914 , is there a way to get ahold of MentalCase?,

what we'll probably do is enter the front gate off of Friars rd. and meet right there in the parking lot somewhere, from there we will enter the race gates together, SCARE SOME CIVICS!!!!

I have mental case's number I'll try to give him a call. I am trying to get my motor mount fixed before friday so I can run. I can't run with no tranny mount.

Which mount is bad - I've filled my front and replaced my rear and can change out either one in about 30 minutes.

If it's the front one (or even the back one I guess) we could get a tube of window weld urethane from Napa and have it filled solid for you in no time flat - just takes about 12 hours or so to dry.

If you guys are talking this friday the 22nd of november that is,,im down. . By the way,,you will all get a kick out this. I'm such a newb,i went to the muffler shop to get my resonator removed,, the guy said it would be about $45 bucks,,i was like no biggy.(Keep in mind i have never actually looked under my car). the guy comes up from the pit and says ok,,all done and since i like you,,that wont cost you anything,, i looked at him and said you were down there for like 10seconds,,he said yea,,i cant remove something that isnt there,LOL . I felt like such an ass.That was my funny store for the day.

Here's an idea for a meeting spot for friday. Right or Aero drive,,one exit north of friars road,,go east on Aero drive,, that goes up hill,,at the top of the hill is a Popeye's chicken,,how bout we all meet there at around 6pm on Friday?? Let me know if that is cool or just start a new post. We're gonna get this So cal shht going,,,,w00t...

After work I have to pick up my daughter from DayCare in Penasquitos and the drive back to Poway and wait for my wife to get home from work. I'll probably leave Poway at 5:30 or 5:45, so could we meet at around 6:30 instead (or could you all just wait for me till then)?

6:00pm at popeye's works for me. Hey mental case, why don't you get the address and post it just to make sure everyone finds us. Oh, and if 6pm is too early for some, I wouldn't worry... half of us will probably be late and then we'll spend an hour just shootin' the shhyytt anyway.

ok the address for that Popeye's is 3489 Santo Rd.,,from the I-15 north,,,take aero drive exit and right,,from I-15 south take the aero drive exit and turn left. Go straight up aero drive till you get to the light,,Popeye's will be right in front of you.

Dont worry if you aren't there by 6pm,,we'll be there for awhile anyway, shoot'n the shyt,like path said.

For everyone else - how many of you have your own helmets? I'm thinking about trying to buy a cheap one somewhere tonight just to have around, but I'm not sure where a good place to get one is???

There's a dirt bike / ATV shop out in Poway, I can check if they have any cheap SNELL helmets. Also a mustang shop by my house that may cary some auto-x stuff?

Yo guys I have a helmet to use. You will need a helmet to run. I can let you borrow mine but if two of us want to run each other we will need another helmet. Got the car fixed I can run it now. Feels much better with new tranny mount and HD front motor mount w/ insert.

Im there but i dont get off work until 7pm I work in sorrento valley So if people want to wait at popeys till like 7:30 I will be there. I even have my own helmet. I missed the last get together last weekend So i def. have to make it and meet all you guys. this time ill check mapquest for directions

How much is a cheap ugly helmet, and do they check for snell90 or dor ot snell85 or whatever? (I'd probably want one I could use in auto-x if I ever stope bing lazy and go one of these days )

You could probley get a cheap helmet for 70 - 80 bucks and be fine. Can't remember if they checked the rating or not.

Lets recap what is going on tonight.

6:00 - 6:30 Meet at Popeye's chicken on Aero Drive.

6:45 - 7:00 leave to go to Qualcom

these times are general times and mean nothing really. We can all do what the group wants when it comes to changing these times.
