For those who haven't seen my other posts. November 23rd & 24th... Metrozoo in deep south Miami, FL. ER's having their final run of the year. Last event had a pretty nice turn out with some really hot cars goin' round. Tell your friends, free to watch, $30 to run.

This weekend was a hell of alot of fun. Breidy, MrPC & I hooked up at the event on Saturday. Even though I thought I wasn't going to run, Breidy's peer pressure was too much for my weak self esteem, so I sucked it up & ran in the afternoon event with him. ER threw in an extra lap for the afternooners, an added surprise.
Not having walked the course, I grabbed a friend and told him to ride along to see how much fun this was. I scored a no time, but it was a learning lap anyways. Needless to say, my time wasn't fast, but this guy had a big ass grin when it was done.
Second run was good, best time of 52.121. Third run was a trip. I invited my girl to ride along with me and really threw the car around to get her scared. Turns out I was just a hair off my best time. She was scared before, but now she's really glad she rode along... problem is she wants to try it now... guess who's car she wants to drive?

You know...I'm starting to get the itch to try this..........for $30 I get to drive crazy....without getting a ticket!!

Let me tell you... Saturday's turn out, IIRC, was something like this:
3 Nissan 350Z's, a few Z06's, an S4 & A4Quattro, 3 WRX's, 3 Shelby Cobras, Hondas of all shapes & sizes, a beautiful black GMC Syclone, a bunch of Mustangs and many more that I can't remember right now.
Sunday topped the cake:
Vipers, 911's, 944's, 914's, more Z06's & Mustangs than I could keep track of, Z's old & new, much more... Watching the Speedtrials was great. Lots of nasty spin outs. Only thing you can hit is a cone!
BTW - Talked with one of the owners, he mentioned something about a "Practice" day where you can come & run the track as many times as you want with or without an instructor. Coming in January.

Yeah, and suspension, swaybar, tires with double my tread, and no screaming girl in the passenger seat!  It was fun, see you next time.
Oh, you should've seen the dufus in the red Z06 eat cones for breakfast @ the Speedtrials. Good times.
