I thought you couldn't use ZEX with the 99 and 00??????
I might be wrong but i thought it was something to do with the returnless fuel system.
The only System you could use was Venom or something like that.. Don't quote me but just what i thought i heard

2000 is the only year that has returnless fuel systems.

The speratic idle I am not sure about for I have never dealt with nitrous on a Contour/Mystique.

Yeah, I believe its the late '99's. I have an early one and I'm running the Zex kit as well..As for the idle, mine has lowered a little bit but nothing I can't deal with...

-if i disconnect the line that goes to the egr it stops-

The vacuum line??? There should be no vacuum at idle.
If there is unplug the wires to the solenoid (back of UIM to the right of coil pack)if it stops the computer is causing it, if it doesn't the solenoid must be leaking thru.

Dude, you're on CRACK!. At idle, ANY car will show the MOST vacuum (compared to any other time)in the intake manifold, and on most healthy motors it's around ~18-20inHg!

Think about it, the motor is running, yet the throttle body is fully closed and the only air it is getting is through tiny hole of the Idle Air Control valve, thus you will have a lower pressure inside the intake manifold as compared to atmospheric pressure, hence you have a VACUUM.

Make sure you know what you're talking about before you spout "wive's-tales" as truths!
