I think Meguires 3 Step Wax is good... That is what I use.. Or Zaino.

Porter Cable 7336 random orbital sander is a good and generally fool proof place to start. Progress from mildest compound stronger until to get out what you want. Then go back to the mildest to fill in all the smaller swirls.

Best wax? Depends. I recommend P21S (AKA S100) for dark cars, but you'll be applying it every month. Zaino looks the best to me on light cars.

do you do all three steps?
or just the thrid?

and I have Eagle one Polish and wax. I use as a base wax and then the Eagle one wax as you dry spray on each car wash.. pros.. cons? I haven't noticed anything bad.

Do all 3... that is the nicest shine I have ever seen.. My car is a 1996 and the paint looks almost as good as new...

Dude..do a search (I asked this question a while back) and follow all their suggestions. In a nut shell do:

dawn
paint cleaner
polish
wax
sealer

Meguiars will acomplish steps 2-5, but some lean towards Zaino. I have used Eagle one...easy on/off...but doing the above steps was like revelation to me.

That is why you get PC 7336. It's great for saving your arms, and takes about 30 minutes for polishing. Wax is generally easy to apply by hand, though.
