If is says, "92 in a 55" then its not reckless. The reckless driving statue will be clearly marked on the ticket. Also, is a court apperance mandatory? are you simply entering a Not Guilty plea and expect to come back for the court date? Is it a prelim hearing or the actual court date?

Also, I could give you some advice that actually works regarding speeding. It comes from www.tipmra.com and include all the information on the internet sites regarding speeding. There is only a 40% chance that the officer won't show. You could give the tipmra method a chance to shine again. If not what is the harm, they can't make you pay more for the ticket, and what is your strategy now, if you plead guilty, really no possibility for reduction, because of case law minimums, if you plead no contest, the same thing applies, case law minimun, you pay the ticket, and waste a day in court. So PM me and I could email you the tipmra and use it and tell me and CEG for the results.

In Wisconsin, more than 20 over is considered "intent to kill" and you can be arrested if you're pulled over. Its the officer's discretion, however. I know many people ticketed for 25-30 over and only had to pay the fine and live with the points on their license. In fact its nothing around here to have speeding tickets reduced to "faulty spedometer" and have the fine and points reduced.

Now, if you're doing 25 over in a school zone when children are present, or you're weaving in and out of heavy traffic at 30 over on the freeway I could see Officer Friendly slappin' the cuffs on around here.

OOOOHHHHH!

Get a lawyer. Most likely you will pay a lot more without one. My 100 in a 55 ticket didn't say reckless driving it just said speeding. It doesn't matter, they just look at how much over you were.
