quaife=grip. . .can FORD install these things or do we have to hav shops install them? The installation sounds tricky, but DAMN, that vid really shows us the improvement!

I would agree. My cars spins both tires until I let off the gas. No quaife needed as the very worn KDW's spin at will...

I'll second (third?) that - I can easily get as much wheelhop as I want if I launch too high at the strip or hammer the gas on a wet road, even with a Quaife.

Another big difference with the Quaife that I found on Sunday: I drove for about 1/8 mile at 45 MPH with the left wheels in a large pool of standing water on the Garden State Parkway during a downpour. Car stayed straight as an arrow with the right wheels out of the "mini-lake". Torque Biasing Differential might have saved my life - I had no idea the water was that deep or went on for that long until it was too late.

I won't even start on the joy of driving in the snow with Quaife and Blizzaks.

Having rode in the Dustyn's car, from 0-100mph, its incredible! Its no fun vibrating for 50 feet as the wheels hop down the drapstip. In his car its all rub and go! He has the DMD also. Quaife + DMD = SMOOTHE! The next thing you know, his name will be on the 1/4 mile database with mine

I've seen this vid posted about three times in the past month. One time with a Dune-Buggy Song. One time with out the song. And now this time.

Count 'em... 1, 2, and 3.

OK, I am new to the wonderful world of mods, and I know to most of you this is a stupid question, but what is a quaife? I assume from the other posts here it is some sort of differential or transaxle?
