Great Job HOLYCOW!
The bit about changing to a standard socket is good advice. I am about to change my plugs for the first time.

Actually, all I did was spray the top of each spark plug with WD-40. That way, it slipped right off the plug socket, yet spark plug socket would still protect and hold the insulator, but easily pull off instead of disconnecting at the extension. Just make sure you don't get any lube on your extension or you will leave the socket in the plug hole. That's why I sprayed the plugs and not the socket.

One thing I wish I had mentioned in my write-up is my tip on removing spark plug wires:

Never pull the plug wire by the wire. Always pull by the boot! I admit the wires are usually tough to remove so if you have to, use a pair of pliers. Just make sure you are pulling on the boot. You can shouldn't be able to seperate the wire from the boot as long as you are pulling only on the boot.
