I found this product some of you may be interested in. It is from Steeda, a Ford tuner. It's for the Focus, but may fit our Zetec's as well. It is to cover the spark plug wires. They have a wealth of products for our Zetec.

It does look bad ass! but, a hundred bucks for a wire cover?

In the interest of not sounding like a complete tightwad, might there be a group buy possible?

I said the same thing myself when I first saw the price. A little high for my tastes. Let me contact the manufacturer for group buy possibilities.

Many Ford Contours feature the 2.0 liter Zetec engine, and a wealth of your Focus products may be useful to the Contour community as well. My Zetec has a cover over the wires.

Remember kids, some of us have the VCT motors with the wires coming out of the far left end of the valve cover. In order for that (or any regular) wire cover to fit, you would need to cut a decent sized hole at the end of it. I talked to a guy from ZXtuner.com and he told me that Esslinger was in the process of prototyping a wire cover that would work with our VCT thingys. He also said that it's quite some time away as there are more pressing projects to complete. So, if there is a group buy, first run outside and look at your motor, then decide if you want to cut a hole in the cover or if you don't need to cut a hole.

But aren't all Focus Zetecs VCT? I understand that theirs is on the intake and ours is on the exhaust valves (that may be reversed. I just know that they are opposite). Would that matter much?

the ONLY focus that has VCT is the SVT focus and that's on the intake not the exaust cam.

Oh yeah, that's right! I forgot what that VCT stuff is. It's so confusing, so I just decided what it means, which is a bad idea, so don't do that. Either way, that won't work on my engine as I have some wires coming out of the end.
