OP terrapin_dup1 Newbie T Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 3	Hey all, I have a 98 Contour with the duratec. Like many others on this forum I did the waterpump and tstat swap. Before the swap the temp gauge was always in the N or O range. Now with the new pump it is running in the R range and the fan kicks on quite a bit more. Has anyone else noticed this? I used the GMB fan with the metal impellar.

Davo Hard-core CEG'er D Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 6,198 Lincoln, Nebraska	I had a 98 Zetec and all the sudden one day it starting running on the L, which scared the crap out of me. I took it to like 10 different dealers and they wouldn't touch it til it crossed into red, which it never did. It's gotten 30k like that now (my brother drives it).
