Actually, depending on how bad you blew up your old engine, if your cams are still good, as far as I know, the cams are the only mechanical difference between the SVT and the standard 2.5 A lot of the bolt on stuff is dir\fferent, but you should be able to bolt on the SVT tiems to the standard engine, I dont think the blocks are any different.

there is a lot differant between the two engines.heres some of them.
-upper and lower intakes extrude honed/larger ports
-extrude honed heads
-hotter camshafts
-more advanced spark curve/tuned for 91 octane
-19lb injectors vs 16.7lb
-higher compression pistons
-conical air filter/air box/air tube
-larger throttle body
-slight differences in the exhaust manifolds (a little better flow)
-2.25" quasi-dual exhaust vs. single 2" pipe
- Flywheel is 12 Lbs. lighter
- Crank is hand selected
- Extra oil cooling
