I was getting off the highway when my speedometer and odomoeter completely died. Tach, lights, stereo, driveability are fine. I had to replace the alternator last week. The car has 95k miles. No change at next start-up either. Any ideas? My guess is the bad mojo of the Z06 owner that I was passing to make my exit.

I'm just guessing, but I would say that it sounds like something has gone wrong with the VSS (vehicle speed sensor).
