I took the car in a month ago because the sensor on the drivers side was reading a high impedence at the connector at the sensor, turning on my airbag light. Its blinking again once in awhile. Can I clean this connector myself? Where exactly is it?
I "borrowed" some liquid coating used at work to seal circuit boards on spacecraft from contamination, so Im sure it should seal the connector well enough. Im hoping to seal the conector on the outside so it doesnt happen again.
On my bill all the tech did was clean the connector, check resistance and reinstall.
Any advice?

Cleaning connectors may work. A high impedance can also mean there is a break in the wiring or a bad sensor itself. BE VERY CAREFUL. Make sure the system is powered down so as not to accidently trip the air bag.

P.S. Don't coat the conductive parts with any sealant. That stuff prevents electrical contact. Use automotive dilectric grease. This will help keep moisture out and the electrons flowing. You should be able to get dilectric grease in any auto parts store.

I wasnt going to coat the actual conductive parts, when I put everything back together, I was going to seal the outside. I am hoping to keep dirt or anything from getting INSIDE the connector.
How do I "power down" the system?
Thanks for the input, BTW
