OP ghodge_dup1 CEG\'er G Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 217 Reynoldsburg, OH	What a day, My CEL came on today and is staying on. No flashing. I took the car to Autozone to have the codes read. 305 popped up. The guy said that 305 meant misfire on cylinder #5. He was telling me this from memory. Is this correct? What are some of the causes I should be looking at? If I do correct the problem, is there some way of making the CEL go out without a trip to the dealer? The autozone guy said they weren't allowed to clear codes. alex_96GL_dup1 Veteran CEG\'er A Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 768 Lyndhurst, NJ	http://www.contour.org/FAQ/FAQ.php?s=probs&display=checkengine he's correct check plugs/wires you can pull the battery cable to clear it or you can pull two fuses, but I don't remeber #s on 2000 clearing codes is not that big of a deal, but you need to find what's causing the misfire --alex \| 98 SE V6 MTX w/ things
