help my contour motor is having a miss. when im in the middle rpms and at 1/2 throttle it seems really jumpy. right now i have my secondaries pinned due to an imrc problem, and i have a perfoemance muffler. also when cold it runs like a 1970 chevy 350 you hit the gas it dont go. it runs on the a in normal in the temp gague. and has a rotten egg smell. please help!!!!

A temp in th 'A' range seems HOT for a V6! Between the chugging and the rotten eggs, I would guess you may have a plug not firing or your running real rich. Might want to check the plugs/wires for good spark. A good intake cleaning and hose checkup along with a couple of tanks with injector cleaner might help out.

Check your catalytic Converters... If they are clogged it could make an egg smell.... They are covered under Fords 8 year 80,000 mile warranty.. If they are restricted then it could definately make a huge difference in performance.

The dash coolant temp sender is notoriously imprecise from car to car. As long as it's not pegged, it's fine. I run into the A all the time (with the current heat wave we're enduring), and had a few incursions into L. Doesn't worry me in the least.

also when im at a stop i can feel the heat coming off the side of the car when i stick my arm out. does the warranty still work if i didnt buy the car new?? cause i know i lost drivetrain warranty due to a little misplaced rubber, wonder where that came from?lol. im gonna try some 104+ to clean the injectors probably friday when i get paid. alright thanks for all the help guys, i dont know what i would do without this website.

Im guessing thats not a problem. Mine has done that since I bought it and I have had no problems yet.

Sounds like a bad coil pack. The coils tend to break down under load, so they could work fine at idle or low speed, but at higher RPM, they may give out. I can elaborate on the Electromagnetic properties of a coil if it would help you out.  Couldnt hurt to try that.

i could hurt to try that, maby not me, but itll sure hurt my wallet and bank account!!!!! and it isnt at high rpms its actually fine after like 3500 its below that at half throttle.
