When I had my alarm installed the guy zip-tied the brain underneath the steering column to a black flex-type hose approx. 1 to 1 1/2 inch. dia. It connects into the center console.
The console connection came off for a couple days. I noticed no ill effects, but I'm just wanting to be sure that I won't have any problems from this.
What is this tube?

Sounds like the installed ziptied it to the air duct. Its not hard to reinstall it, just line up the notches and a slight twist of the wrist and its on. I just took mine off to redo most of the wiring under the steering column and center console.

Thanks...I had already re-connected it...Just wondered where it went to and it's purpose (i.e. is it a necessity, if this were to happen again without me catching it.)
