I have had an MTX 4-channel amp for three years with no probs. I briged it to run 2 subs, 2 door speakers and 1 sub and now I'm using it to run 4 speakers. no problems. One thing I can say though is that on ebay you can get good [censored] very cheap. I just got an Alpine V-12 m500 sub amp for 300 bucks and it is the [censored]!!!!!! Basically, when buying car audio, make sure you are fully aware of return policies and warranty coverage. Everyone designs systems for different reasons so be prepared to buy and return stuff if it isn't to your liking

I have one I bought used on eBay; it KICKS ASS. Go by the power rating on the birth certificate, not the manufacturer's rating.

Yup, good amps. Worth the money? Well, I guess that depends on what you're paying.

How much money? IMO, I dont really like them. If you're using them for subs they can be pretty darn good, often put out more power than their rating. They don't have the lowest thd so I wouldn't use them for mids or tweets if you are concerned about SQ. My friend got them for 60% off so that makes them a good deal, but I still wouldn't probably get em. I guess I am just a snob

I've got MTX amps running my whole system. Their THD isn't very good as it is rated, but as on the birth certificate, that is also underrated. IIRC on mine, they had below .0125THD. If you can find them cheap, it's worth it.

I would have no problem running MTX amps in a SQ comp. The difference in a .1% and .01% rating is undetectable. It is one of the more overated amplifier specs.

I love my 4 channel MTX amp!!!! I have it running my 4 door speakers and love the clarity. The amp is rated at 45X4 on the box, but the certificate indicates 62X4!! This rating is at 12.5 Volts as well. The THD was very underrated as well.
