MAN am I glad this is back up...I've been waiting forever to post this up here and/or do a search on it.

Here's the situation:
I work at a company that does a lot of business with Ford, GM, Chrysler, etc. I may have an opportunity to get a new Jag engine for next to nothing if not nothing and installed for about the same price. My question is has anyone done it, if not, can it be done, and what are the complications? Please let me know!!

Yes it can be done/ No it's hasn't/ And the only persons who know the complications Are Probably Terry and Brad.

I've heard something about the transmission not being able to handle the extra power...anyone know whether or not that would be true?

More complex than an LS 3.0 conversion,getting the Jag trans will help but an MTX can work...

im pretty sure what terry is saying it can work with ur current MTX-75 but i think u have to make changes to ur bellhousing.

He doesn't have the MTX to begin with though. So he might as well get the Jag transmission, right?
