Ohh... !! It's so good to be back up on the board... Where everybody knows my name !!!!(excuse the small tribute to Cheers) The meet was kick ass!! Darren did a fabulous job getting 12 Tours together... (On his birthday to boot!) Those of us who took the late afternoon trip through the Cascades had a real blast too. I hadn't worked my tachometer so hard since my trip to Las Vegas. The Canadians really handle their cars maturely (both modifications and driving ability). Luckily I learned to drive in the West Indies, so to me it's always a great time to overtake !

Wow, nice to be back. I too will post some pictures of the meet if I can get my web hosting set up properly. How about a meet at PIR Friday night! Or Saturday? Ha!

Hey, Shotdiff posted
It was great getting together and finally be able to put some faces with names. This meet got Lance excited to do more stuff to the tour. Hopefully we can all meet up again soon, instead of waiting another 2 1/2 years! We'll post some pics too, once we get them up.

Is anyone in the Portland area planning on going to the Late Night Drags @ PIR? Come on people! I've been the only Contour there the last two weeks, don't make it a third. And I'm tired of peope asking dumb questions like; Is that an SVT? or even worse, Is that an Escort? Argh, I need other Contour owners to represent.

I was there just last weekend and Shotwell was there the weekend before. Mind you last Saturday was my first drag appearance ever. I ran a best of 15.553@88.68 w/ 2.404 60ft
I won't be around this weekend and I don't think I'll be there next weekend either, otherwise I would say lets meet up! I'd love to see some other Contours out there!

Finally! It was nice seeing you guys and the trip was well worth it (except for my speeding ticket)....the side trip was really nice. Once we got past Darrington, the traffic really lightened up. All along the Sauk River, the driving was super. There is nothing like the sound of a Contour passing you on full WOT....that is when I let you guys pass me. Past Rockport and then to Concrete was very nice...traffic started building again once we got closer to Sedro Wolley. Considering it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, it was a nice drive...I hit over 100 mph on a couple of occasions and doing the twisties at over 80 mph.....
