Hey m8 just in case you won't get the post in the general mod forum...any news on lowering the compression ratio. Are you using a gasket or modifying the pistons?
One other question you seem to refer to the UK alot about dynoing...Do you have a UK department?
If so where are they? I'm in bonny Scotland at the mo, but Boring England is only 4-5 hours away depending on speed. Its about 2.3 hrs at 100mph plus!
Hope you can help as I'm doing a conversion at the mo. Using a Garret T3 turbo, alloy intercooler, (both from a RS Turbo Escort). Fuel requirements are met by a 5th injectoe being run by ERL's MF2, and the MAF replaced with a TD one. Having problems with getting an oil feed but think I have it sussed.
Hope you can get back to me! :p

A Focus Zetec owner recently blew a rod running only 8psi...scary!!!! Yes but he was running lean, possibly detonating. He had not installed the extra injector(s?) that the aerochrger guys running the 12 psi are. I think one the guys has got 96# injectors, and is using 75% of their duty cycle! Of course he recently dynoed at 280 whp. and just as much torque!

Please tell me that 96# was a misprint! Jesus Christ ... that's enough fuel to support 1,000 HP!

A Focus Zetec owner recently blew a rod running only 8psi...scary!!!! There was a guy who threw a rod a couple months ago but he(and his mechanic)were highly sceptical about how much impact the Turbo really had on the engine failure.

After rereading the thread, he still has 46# injectors that are maxed out. He ordered some 92# and calculated that he would be using 75% of their duty cycle. Sorry for the confusion.

340lbs of torque!!? Holy crap man! That's up in Mustang GT land isn't it? I know my girl's 2000 3.8 is in the low 200's and it's pretty damn quick. If you do successfully get into the 350hp range how much torque will that be? 400lbs? That would definately kill every Honduh around here for sure! Maybe even a couple GTs and Z-28s and maybe even the unsuspecting Vette here and there. I'm definately going to do this now! How to raise money........Man Whore? Drug Lord of a international drug cartel? Kidnap Ohsama Bin Laden and make him give me all his money or I'll shave his beard off? "Borrow" Bill Gates' credit card? I don't think I can do it delivering pizza, that's for sure.
