I need help explaining the 3L duratec on SHOforum.com. This guy wants to know more about them and some people kinda down them ( well one guy did )

What are they talking about Ford cut power from 200HP to 185HP??? None of the non-SVT Contours ever came 200HP stock. What's the cam problem also? I don't think I've heard anyone on here that had cam problem yet.

They are talking about the 3L Duratec Taurus/Sable which went from quasidual to single exhaust in 1998 and dropped 200 to 185 HP. And the 4 wheel discs were gone except for wagons IIRC.

There are about 50 to 60 96 thru 99 SHO's that are having cam failure ( see v8sho.com for more info
