Well I went down to the Dynojet 248 and put the car on the rack. The first run is after a cool down from the 1hr. journey. The IAT was 63.1 F and the abs. bar was 29.33 mgHg and the SAE was .99, so It was corrected down.


Run 3 was with the computer reset.

Reset you computers daily, you HP will remain high. The OBD2 computer dumbs down the HP.

I wouldn't do it daily. OBD-II has been shown to actually improve it for a short period of time after reset.
I normally end up doing mine once a month (sometimes sooner) Always changing something. laugh
However with a custom chip & A/F control you take a large portion of the PCM adjustability out of the picture at WOT

Looks like the mystery mod helps airflow considerable eh... Too much for the PCM to compensate for.

It's odd how the first run flutters so much and then after reset is just fine...

Maybe the PCM protecting the engine because it is so lean???

DemonSVT, those are some very good points.

My car feels the fastest about 100-150 miles after resetting the ECU. Also, notice that the A/F ratio is changing on its own at WOT, indicating that ECU is changing WOT fuel maps on its own! Also note that the most power was seen in Run #3, in which the A/F ratio was 14:1 all the way to the fuel cut!

It also seems that the non-SVT Duratec has much less of a dip at 3400rpm. Maybe this is because of the milder cams.
