The winner was the 88% humidity & the dyno itself. (everyone except todras & a guy with a badass GTI VR6 dynoed low)

Tim pulled 239fwhp
I pulled 252fwhp... but something let go in the SC's driveline and the car had to be towed to another club members house where we bypassed the Blower pulley and i managed to drive home under normal aspiration.

Great, that something to look forward to

It's been extremely humid here in Cleveland too, I would assume the same weather was up there as well (70 degrees and you are sweating your a$$ off you know its humid)

Man, you guys BOTH had tranny problems same day?? THAT is a bummer.

BTW, does high humidity hurt or help power. Ive heard both - that humidity is water which is like water injection and air is denser. Does'nt seem intuative that it would help though.

Hope you guys get the cars sorted out OK. You are true Contour "pioneers".

I didn't have tranny problems. I have SC problems...
Humidity hurts performance and it is not the same as water injection. Actually its like spraying the water on the filter and trying to suck it through...

I had problems with my car too that weekend. I had a BAD exhaust leak between my rear MSDS and one of the Tru-dual pipings. Bolt head sheared, but got it fixed... I know that wasn't as severe as Tim's or Mark's problems, but my dyno sucked too... BUT on the up side, I dyno'd 175 fwhp in 88% humidity, so I hope that means that I actually have some gains once the humidity clears and dyno'd again in the Fall.
